Actor Shah Rukh Khan, known as "King Khan" in India, has become a living symbol that epitomises the vibrancy and vitality of Indian cinema. Many of his films are even loved worldwide and have made him a star all over the world. At the 77th Locarno Film Festival (7.-17.2024), the Indian superstar will be honoured with the "Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno Tourism", the festival's award for his career. In doing so, the festival is honouring Khan's remarkable career in Indian cinema, which spans more than 100 films in a breathtaking variety of genres. Giona A.
